Fab! Victorian  Bracelet W/ Slide Bar & Rhinestones MIB

This is a fabulous bracelet that I've been holding back on. It has a slider bar in it and is ornately decorated with paste rhinestones. It's signed C. Co and has a push button to open it. I believe that its gold filled, although I never have had it tested for gold. It's in a box that I believe is original to it. It's in superior condition and would be a great addition to your collection.

Stunning Victorian Topaz Tassel Necklace

I bought this beauty at Brimfield. I found it's delicate frame and fun tassel made for an irresistible combination. The Victorian necklaces are either long or short never in between. This is long one measuring 23 1/2"long and the pendant 1 3/4" long and 1 3/4" tassel! The chain has topaz glass beads through out. The center stone in the pendant is topaz color. It could be real or just Czech glass, I really don't know. I think the setting is brass. This is an outstanding piece and about 100 years old. EXCELLENT condition.

Czech Purple Stone Brass Victorian Brooch

I bought this large brooch at one of my favorite antiques centers in northern Vermont a few weeks ago. I think it may be known as a sash brooch. It measures 2 1/2 " across and has a Czech glass center stone. I believe the setting is brass with a gold wash, but that is only a guess on my part. It has a basket weave pattern in the frame and is just gorgeous!

Filigree Victorian TOPAZ "Y" Necklace

When I used to have a shop, one of my favorite customers for jewelry was "Juanita". Now when I go to Brimfield, Juanita is one of my favorite sellers! It was Juanita who sold me this beauty. It's a Victorian topaz glass filigree pendant on a "Y" chain. Both Juanita and I don't think the chain is original, but it looks great with the pendant all the same. If you don't like it, you can put it on your favorite gold filled chain. The pendant measures 2" long and has a gorgeous topaz colored Czech glass center with topaz rhinestones in a filigree setting. This looks so beautiful on, you're certain to get lots of compliments on it.

Victorian Art Nouveau Large Sash Brooch

I have a weakness for these buckle motif sash brooches. I just think they're so pretty and look great on what ever you wear them with, whether it be a dress or sweater or even a scarf. This one measures 2" x 3" and has lovely Art Nouveau floral detailing. Great condition. I think it may be gold filled or brass with a gold wash finish.

Victorian Art Nouveau Lady Paste Rhinestone & Chain

This is a wonderful Art Nouveau Victorian clip. My friend Linn wears them on a chain as a pendant, and they look great like that. This one is no exception and I'm including the Victorian (revival?) chain in my photos with this fabulous clip so you can wear it as a pendant if you prefer. It's in original condition and great for it's age. It measures about 1 1/4" across.

ENGLISH Antique Sterling and Reverse Painted Marcasites Brooch

A piece I've been holding back on. It's so wonderful and my photos do not due it one iota of justice. This Victorian brooch is an reverse painted (on celluloid) portrait. The painting is signed "After Gainsborough", and is a rendition of the Thomas Gainsborough painting,  "Mrs. Sarah Siddons" (1785). This was a common way for young artists to sign paintings that were copies of Masters works, I just never heard of it in jewelry before!
The setting is sterling silver with rhodium plating. The brooch is signed England and has an old "C" Victorian clasp. Around the edge of the portrait is set with marcasites. It measures a little more than 1 1/4" across and is in pristine condition. This is more than jewelry, it's a work of art! For the advanced collectors!

RARE Victorian Tortoise Shell Bangle Bracelet

One of 2 real tortoise shell bangles I bought this week in an antiques shop. Tortoises are now protected and this type of jewelry is no longer made. This bangle is wide, about 1 1/4" and has a 3" opening. It is mostly "brown" in color. There is a chip in it, but very appropriate considering it's more than 100 years old.

Victorian Gold Filled Intaglio Carnelian Male Cameo Bangle

I bought this wonderful bracelet from a dealer who had really wonderful jewels. This gold filled bangle opens on a hinge and is signed Simmons. Simmons was established in 1885 and in business at least through 1952. The bracelet has an intaglio carnelian male cameo center and will fit up to an 7 1/2" wrist. It's in fabulous condition and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. Cameos are a classic, but are really "in" right now.
