2004-327J Blackamoors On A Pink Rhinestone Elephant Brooch This is a piece that I've been holding back on. The elephant has hundreds of tiny pink rhinestones, red rhinestone and clear rhinestone. On the elephant's back ride 2 black-a-moors. It measures about 2 1/2" long and dates from the 1950's. I've always loved this brooch and you will too! |

2004-328J Vintage Turtle Brooch This is a great brooch. A really cool turtle with orange cabochons and turquoise beads on his shell. He has clear rhinestones in his head, flippers and tail, and 2 pink rhinestone eyes. He measures 2" long and is in great condition.

2004-20J Czech Purple Stone Brass Victorian Brooch I bought this large brooch at one of my favorite antiques centers in northern Vermont a few weeks ago. I think it may be known as a sash brooch. It measures 2 1/2 " across and has a Czech glass center stone. I believe the setting is brass with a gold wash, but that is only a guess on my part. It has a basket weave pattern in the frame and is just gorgeous!

2004-26J Sterling Art Deco Faux Buckle Brooch This is a treasure I found in one of my favorite antiques shops. Its signed "sterling". It looks super on a dark or bright color. It measures almost 1 1/2" long and has an old "C" style clasp. Excellent condition.

2004-28J Sterling Vermeil 3-Dimensional Dapper Bird Brooch This dapper fellow is all decked out in a top hat and with a walking stick. Gold vermeil on sterling this guy is unsigned, but looks like a Trifari piece to me. His gold vermeil is worn in places so please see my photos. It measures 2" tall and is 3 dimensional.

2004-34J ENGLISH Antique Sterling and Reverse Painted Marcasites Brooch A piece I've been holding back on. It's so
wonderful and my photos do not due it one iota of justice. This
Victorian brooch is an reverse painted (on celluloid) portrait. The
painting is signed "After Gainsborough", and is a rendition of
the Thomas Gainsborough painting, "Mrs.
Sarah Siddons" (1785)". This was a common way for young artists
to sign paintings that were copies of Masters works, I just never heard
of it in jewelry before! This

2004-33J Victorian Topaz Sash Brooch This is a gorgeous Victorian dark topaz sash brooch. I
have a thing for these, they just look so good on no matter what you
what you wear it on. It has some minor wear, but it shows in my photos.

2004-70J Beautiful Genuine Pearls Art Nouveau Brooch I just bought a nice collection of costume jewelry
that belonged to a woman who is now in her late 80's. She's moved out of
her big home into a retirement community and is drastically downsizing.
Lucky me! She had some really wonderful, quality costume jewelry, and
this is one of those pieces. I know that these pearls are real, but I
don't know if they're cultured or natural. When did they first start
culturing pearls anyway?) They're on the larger side. The pearls are
whole pearls, and the brooch has a chased Art Nouveau design in the
center that looks like a forget-me-not flower. The pin stem is longer
than the brooch, a sign of a true Victorian piece. And of course it has
a "C" clasp. It measures just over 1" long. |

2004-86J Vintage White Gold Cameo w/Diamond Sapphires What a wonderful find this was! It's a blue glass pre-1940 intaglio cameo. It's signed 10KR. The "R" is for the maker. I brought it to my jeweler and the diamond is genuine, he tested it, and he felt that the sapphires were genuine as well. This is a gorgeous pieces measuring about 1 1/2" long. It's in excellent condition, and cameos are so hot right now! It's also nice that it's set in white gold, it's such a compliment with the diamond and sapphires. |

2004-92J Darling 2 Chicks Pave Rhinestone Brooch This vintage brooch is just too cute! These 2 chicks measure about 1 1/2" across and are extremely well made. Completely covered in pave rhinestones they'll brighten up any outfit. |

2004-93J Vintage Cornucopia Beaded Flowers Brooch This brooch looks Czech but there are no marks on it. It measures 3" long. It's 3 dimensional and has wired beaded flowers and enameling on the horn. It really is a fabulous brooch and one of the loveliest I've seen. |

2004-104J JULIANA Purple & Green Rhinestone Brooch I just bought this at a local antiques show yesterday. A fabulous JULIANA brooch with skinny purple and green navettes accented with peridot rhinestone chatons. This brooch measures 3" long and is in great condition.
